Job Description

  • Responsible for performing a broad variety of audit functions to ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Complete audit functions including verifying, sampling, reviewing, confirming, and reporting in such areas as financial accounting, operations activities, loan process, and other areas as assigned.
  • Work with Compliance Officer and auditors to evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Assist and support Compliance Officer and Special Accounts Representative as needed.
  • Serve as Credit Union’s OFAC Officer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union policies and procedures required.
  • Three or more years of credit union experience in increasingly complex positions.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to operate computer applications and business equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Job Description

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, and through the mail, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balance each day's transactions and verify cash totals. Actively cross-sell Credit Union services. Serve members promptly and professionally.

Assume responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.

  • Represent the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Receive share deposits and loan payments.
  • Process cash advances, cashiers' checks, money orders, gift cards, and discount tickets.
  • Disburse cash or check share withdrawals.
  • Process transfers.
  • Verify transactions. Monitor deposit amounts and examine documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals. Investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions.
  • Maintain and project the Credit Union's professional reputation. Maintain privacy of member account information.
  • Actively cross-sell Credit Union products and services.

Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and with management.

  • Assist area personnel as required.
  • Keep supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
  • Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Attend meetings as required.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Perform drive-up service and night drop functions as assigned.
  • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Perform related clerical duties as required.
Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of Credit Union operations.
Experience Required:
  • At least six months cash handling experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
  • Good typing skills.
