Job Description
Responsible for handling a variety of member service calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Resolves member questions and problems regarding account statements, loans, payments, automatic transfers, interest rates, and investment certificates. Completes and maintains related reports, records, and files. Cross sells Credit Union services and supports all functions within the Customer Service Center.
Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional completion of Customer Service Center Representative functions.
- Receives member telephone questions and complaints in a professional manner.
- Completes research and resolves documentation errors or discrepancies. Forwards more complex problems to Manager.
- Interviews, takes applications, gathers information, and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests.
- Provides general information to members on Credit Union policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provides basic information to members on accounts, payments, interest rates, blue book estimates, loan options, and savings programs.
- Performs basic maintenance functions and automatic transfers for loan payments.
- Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and with management.
- Completes weekly Customer Service Center statistical reports.
- Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and significant problems.
- Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Assists other departments as necessary.
- Performs related clerical duties as needed.
- Assists in verifying accounts, copying checks, and mailing correspondence.
- Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Actively and professionally cross sells Credit Union services.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- General knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Basic understanding of loans, payment processes, and interest rates.
- At least 1 year of experience in member service at a full service financial institution or in a call center/customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software applications including Microsoft Word or Excel.
- Solid math skills and bookkeeping abilities.

Job Description
Acts as a liaison between the member and the Credit Union. Performs a broad variety of member service including opening and closing accounts. Responds to member inquiries regarding Credit Union services and performs a variety of account maintenance. Cross sells products and services.
- Opens all types of new deposit accounts offered by the Credit Union. Includes qualifying members for membership, interviewing members to determine needs, and processing requests via online system(s).
- Services existing members accounts. Includes interviewing members to determine needs, processing requests via online system(s), completing account maintenance requests and appropriate forms, transferring funds, balancing accounts, and closing accounts.
- Promotes credit union products and services based on member needs. Actively cross sells products and services.
- Responds to member requests. Resolves member issues directly or coordinates resolution with appropriate ETPCU personnel.
- Provides prompt, professional, courteous service in-person, via telephone and through electronic media, including e-mail as directed.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services that are processed or promoted by Financial Service Representatives.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of all credit union policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contributes to productive, professional work environment through positive, courteous interactions with ETPCU personnel. Includes assisting other departments as directed and maintaining communication with management regarding area activities and challenges.
- Safeguards member information by applying the highest level of confidentiality regarding member interactions with the Credit Union and securing all member information in public work areas.
- Performs teller duties as directed. Includes cashing checks, receiving deposits and loan payments, and balancing cash drawer in teller area.
- Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintains a clean, professional work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of member services and products provided.
- One to three years of banking experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including 10-key and telephone.
- Solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
- Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders and cash advances
- Balance each day's transactions and verify cash totals
- Ensure that members are promptly and professionally served

- High School graduate or equivalent
- At least six months to one year as a teller or retail cash handling
- Above average math and computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking both English and Spanish
