East Texas Professional Credit Union (“ETPCU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers text messaging services to provide you with important account information, transaction alerts, security notifications, and other credit union updates.  To ensure compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Texas SB140, the SMS/Text Messaging Program explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information related to our text messaging practices.

Protection of Your Mobile Information
We are committed to protecting your information. Mobile information collected through our text messaging program, including your mobile phone number and text messaging opt-in consent data, will NOT be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All text messaging originator opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties. This exclusion applies specifically to all mobile contact information and consent records obtained through our SMS program.

We may share your mobile information only in the following limited circumstances:

•    Service Providers: We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our text messaging program, under strict confidentiality agreements and solely for the purpose of delivering services to you.
•    Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
•    Credit Union Operations: We may use information internally for customer service, technical support, and operational purposes related to your credit union membership.

Consent and Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to our text messaging program, you consent to receive text messages from East Texas Professional Credit Union. Consent is not a condition of membership or any product or service we offer.
Message frequency varies depending on your preferences and account activity. Standard message and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile carrier.

How to Opt-Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages from ETPCU at any time at no cost to you. To opt out:

•    Text "STOP" to any message you receive from us
•    Reply with keywords such as "END," "CANCEL," "UNSUBSCRIBE," or "QUIT"

After you opt out, you will receive one final confirmation message verifying that you have been unsubscribed. After this confirmation, you will no longer receive text messages from our SMS program. If you wish to opt back in, you may do so by following the original enrollment process.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may be affected by factors outside our control, including network coverage, device compatibility, and carrier policies.
